Hey Kevin,

To the degree that one cares about a university education, yes, the specific 
institution matters, and I'd probably (where fairly or not) rank U of U higher 
than U of Phoenix. 

However, when we hire programmers, and maybe this is unique to and fortunate 
for programmers, I rarely notice the university and I'd guess that's true for 
most places. Only about 1/3 of our senior programmers over the life of the 
company have even had computer science degrees; most are self taught and 
they're just good at what they do. They have great portfolios, visible work we 
can see in the wild, and/or open source contributions or their own projects on 
Github.

When we've hired *interns* we've leaned heavily on the university. E.g., "This 
guy is going to school at Tufts. That must mean something!" But after 
programmers have real-world experience, whether outside of school or after 
school, the school doesn't matter much.
