The "wiki articleparser" needs to create the "contents" box,
sorting articles etc. and the unique layout is another reason, too.

And is html will be replaced by xhtml etc...

Think about the following: Some day the standard for webpages will
be changed, then you have only to change the internal parser and 
all articles are well formatted again.
One the other side you have to edit every article by hand (a nightmare).
