I really thought that this problem would be resolved by now, but even in the latest version of Magnolia, it still exists:
- Go to http://demoauthor.magnolia-cms.com/demo-project/about/subsection-articles/article.html - Add the word "persönlich" to the article text - Search for "persönlich" in the search box => Nothing! I could turn of the escaping of latin entities in the FCKConfig (as described in Tom's post above). But I would have to search all old content and "un-escape" it. So I wanted to try a different approach: Searching for the escaped search term. Unfortunately I'm not getting anything either, no matter how I try: select * from nt:base where (jcr:path like '/my-site/%') and (contains(text,'*pers?nlich*') or contains(text,'*persönlich*') or contains(text,'*persönlich*') or contains(text,'*persönlich*')) Can anyone point me to a working query string that would solve this problem?
