I think requests for help are getting drowned in the volume of other
emails. If an experienced developer knew they only had to answer
questions on the docs-ML once and once only they would more likely
invest their time. On the user-ML, they are probably answering
different variations of the same questions over and over again.
I forward Chris answer because IMHO he found a good argument for
creating a doc specialised ML.
Of course we often find ourselves answering again and again the same
things and a link to a FAQ/How to/CookBook would surely be easier.
But also often the questions are so specific that a FAQ would not help
