Greetings!
I am using the POI that is included within coldfusion 8. ( POI 2.5.1
final 20040804) It has worked flawlessly to read and write workbooks up
until now, but lately I have had an error message when trying to open up
a particular worksheet.
After testing a bit, I stumbled on to the problem: whenever the
worksheet is saved, if the particular cell that was selected has data
validation enabled on it, then the POI does not seem to be able to open
the document.
If the same document has a different cell selected with no data
validation, then the document opens and reads perfectly, including the
values that were in the cells with data validation enabled.
Is this an issue that is due to my version of POI, or is this something
that is not supported in POI at all? If there is some workaround that
can be done (without macros in the original excel worksheet), I would
love to know.
