Thanks for the reply, Nick. As per your advice, I downloaded 3.1, and did another test, and it worked flawlessly!

To clarify the steps exactly (in case any other coldfusion users would like to upgrade POI):

1. Stop the coldfusion application server using services console (in Windows) or ./coldfusion stop (in Linux). 2. Remove the poi-2.5.1-final-20040804.jar and poi-contrib-2.5.1-final-20040804.jar from the coldfusion lib directory (back them up just to be safe) 3. Copy poi-3.1-FINAL-20080629.jar, poi-contrib-3.1-FINAL-20080629.jar, and poi-scratchpad-3.1-FINAL-20080629.jar into the coldfusion lib directory. (those versions are the ones I used, but I am pretty sure that any current build would work also)
4. Restart coldfusion.

I will also do some testing with 3.2, as data validation has started to become somewhat of a de facto standard for many of the data import mechanisms that we use.

To all of the POI developers: Your work is fantastic and *greatly appreciated*!

Regards,
Cory McHugh
