Well, they finally rebooted the archiva server and now it is working. So I am assuming there was something stuck in memory that was wrong.

It seems the webgroup is redirecting it to the wrong repository? How does a group map a jar request to the right repository? Some ideas: - Permissions problem on the repository? - Does it work if you access the URL of the artifact in the webgroup from the browser? - Does it work if you access the URL of the artifact in the mavenmirror from the browser? - anything in the logs?
