My pioneer USB powered slim drive actually works flawlessly. I can use dvdbackup (as an example) to read and decrypt a dvd with that drive. So I guess my algorithm is to always use the pioneer for DVD and the LG/OWC box for everything else. > But WH16NS40 is a 5.25 inch drive.
