I load Australian Dictionaries into Firefox, Thunderbird and the various

is flagging of "misspelt" words when they are words that are not actually
in their dictionary and not distinguishing between the two situations.
How do you think that works? The dictionary has a list of ways you can
misspell words? If it's not in the dictionary then it's wrong. What two
situations are you referring to?
Differentiating between a word that is in its dictionary but spelt
differently and a word that is not in its dictionary at all.
Do you think the dictionaries actually have that information?
Of course! All dictionaries know what a turboencabulator is in Kazakhstan or
anywhere else....
More seriously Stephen seems to be demanding either mindreading (version .001 is
notoriously poor) or a dictionary with a totally unreasonable size. He gave me
the impression he's mostly interested in finding reasons to hate open source
software. He's fishing in well populated waters for that so why pick on spell
checkers, a concept that is automatically defective if you dig too far?
