Thanks for the info. In the meantime I solved the problem still using JDK 18 as follows. - deleted user config data and reinstalled NetBeans - started NB under root - configured plugins to shared directory - activated Java SE module, which also installed the profiler - started NB as user - again activated Java SE module - Restart. All is fine !!! Don't know, if that is a good workaround. -Ulf
