pre-printed using the proper machine readable font, ink and so on. Then all
you had to do was use those blanks as paper in your printer and print the
payee's name, the amount and the amount-in-words. Presumably you can still
obtain such blanks ???

The "fun" part was finding/writing software that would print the
amount-in-words i.e. to take a value such as 1234.56 and print "one thousand
two hundred and thirty four dollars and fity six cents". Don't know if
there's an extension for that for OOo.
