On the downloads page there are a number of download managers. Download one of these then use it to dwonload the large (and long downloading)OOo file, as well as the PDFs for Installing and Getting started. I used LeachGet. It worked great on dial up. Start, stop, resume, even stop for the night shut off computer and when up again start the download.
