We have an option....call open source. There's NO EXCUSE for using MickySoft today.....period!

We all got used to the way Gates did business, but Ballmer is a lot more sneaky....much more stab you in back after he sneaks in the back door. He's every bit, if not more, driven do crush competitors than Gates, and he doesn't care how legal or moral the methods are.

Adobe is getting bad as well
If you had to fo to Acrobat 8, or the CS2/3 products, you get a disk full.
Acrobat 8 takes 1.8 gig on my laptop with Photoshop CS2 taking 0.8 gig and
the CS3 version over 1 gig. Add all of the of the other "needed" products
and you fill your 80 gig laptop without getting any work done. THEN
when the automatic updator starts, your installed software goes "poof".
I never got Acrobat 8 working correctly after that. I had to go back to
version 6.

I hear more complaints about Adobe from MAC users.

Seems like Adobe wants you to buy, buy, buy, then you can never get
their stuff working after their updates. M$ just updates their stuff and
then everything you did in the past must be converted to their new
formats to do "business right", or so M$ says.

Yes.....that's the claim. ;)

I wish there was Open Source to replace all of my Adobe products, that
can read Adobe formats, so I can dump Adobe as well as M$. One day
I will be totally fre of M$ when I convert all my computers to Linux, but
untill that day, I have live with the junk.

There are MORE Linux systems than MACs, and it shouldn't be all that hard to port their wares from OS-X to Linux. It just hasn't made sense that Adobe hasn't done the work. There has been charges levied at MickySoft before for interfering with OEMS to keep them from porting to Linux. I KNOW that in the past this WAS often true, and I have to wonder if this isn't the case now.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
