I thought I was using 2.4, when I encountered the problem ... but my
recollections might be wrong. I may have encountered the problem, and then
installed 2.4 immediately after posting my challenge. I have 2.4 installed
now, but it is hard to be definite about the sequence - the Alzheimer's is
worse on Mondays :o)

OK, no problem. Probably the easiest thing would be for me to enter this
issue, and post the process (which may be a bit different now, since the
website changes) and the issue number on the list, so anybody who's
interested can keep track.

I'm sending a description of how I entered the issue directly to James
rather than posting it, it's a bit messy.
Turned out to be a duplicate -- I searched, but didn't try "nested table"
and missed it. Fixed in 2.4 (probably -- if the same function is used for
Table > Delete > Table that was fixed for this). Selecting good search
terms is a tricky thing!
