Regardless of Enom's purported size, what does this say about the registrar's
ethics and the domains it hosts? Should such companies and their clients be
boycotted and thereby coerced into dealing with these frauds?

what procedure a registrar should use ,to preview the intention of a
customer which registers domains....?

No 'domain name tasting', minimum registration period 1 year, requiring
payment as part of the domain name registration process and activation
only after the payment has been cleared by the registrar's bank would
seem to be a good start.

.. and payment is made with a stolen credit card...

AND: domains are just just too cheap.

Anyway.. this is totally off topic in the SA list.
SDLU may be a better place for such discussions.
