Thank you John!
I just added the dependencies for batch as well in 
https://javaee-support.ci.cloudbees.com/job/javaee7-samples-tomee-2.0/, so that 
took care of  a few missing tests.
Now it seems that a lot of tests are failing because there is no beans.xml, 
since on Java EE 7 the description it's optional.
