I have a HP Pavilion ze1250 AMD that ran HOT and locked up ALL the time! I was sooooooo ticked. Google to the rescue; I found out that there was a flash for the BIOS. One flash later - everything was all right. I'm still ticked at HP for rushing out to market with a buggy hunk of junk. They had to know it was bad - It froze 4 or 5 times on the post factory install (you know, just answer a few questions and it will finish installing WinXP). No more HP for me. On the other hand - now that my laptop works - I sure do like it.
Gabriel G P.S. I have to mention that Mandrake Linux 9.0 (at the time) ran cooler on it?!?! No lockups.
