I wouldn't say _all_ engineering.  My IEEE Spectrum magazine uses all
metric, even when discussing non EE stuff like distances and
velocities.  I guess it's just those other engineers that are still in
the dark ages :)

P.S.  I still have to convert kilometers to miles in my head whenever
reading one of those articles, otherwise I have no concept of how far
they are talking about.
