A couple of prices I just looked up on the web: CAT5e 1000 feet | PVC | Plenum ----------------+---------+--------- CompUSA | $120.90 | $430.32 ----------------+---------+--------- Home Depot | $ 66.00 | $189.00 This matches pretty well with what I expected to see (i.e. Home Depot being a relatively inexpensive source of bulk CAT5 cable). I'm not sure whether current building codes require plenum wire for residential use or not, you'll want to check that out.
