Well, I'm just renting here through Fall Semester (my last semester in
single student housing -- yay!).  The rest of the house isn't even close
to meeting modern electrical codes.  All the power wiring is two-wire.
Nothing's grounded.  Can't expect much when you're paying only
$190/month, utilities included.  So I honestly don't care about building
codes because we're just going to pull a bunch of cables through the
ventilation ducts and hook the computers up to a switch.
