I know at home back in the bay area I bought 1000m of CAT5 or CAT5e for about 29.99 @ fry's electronics :\ too bad we don't have one out here. I know that "Mac" the parts guy in the CTB on campus sells CAT5 in whatever length/quantity you need for $0.10/ft.
