Being as how you aren't my instructor, I wasn't directing that comment at you. From what my instructor has said, he should be teaching software design not a Unix class. I could tell you all kinds of stories that our instructor has told us about Linux that are bogus. Anyway, sorry about offending you.
Don't worry about offending MRB -- I don't think he has an offensible bone in his body. Or serious one, for that matter. When's the last time anyone saw MRB make a serious post to this list? I can't recall one myself... although his humorous posts often incite other more 'serious' discussions...
