I personally have never been able to learn very well in a classroom setting.
I don't know why, and I certainly don't want to try to say that the school
system is at fault for this; I think I just learn in a way that's different
from the way a lot of other people learn.  I seem to do best by reading
books and then practicing (on my own or with the help of others who are
learning the same thing I am) what I've just read.

I am thinking about going back to school and getting a degree in something
completely unrelated to hard science, though.  Maybe philosophy, ancient
history, or something.
