        I know what you mean, but I think that certain subjects lend themselves to 
this type of learning better than others.  It seems to me like you can learn 
oodles of programming languages on your own and with some help from others, 
but if you start trying to just pick up circuit design, I think you'd find 
you have a bit harder of a time.
