Check out the personal use type models from sony.  Usually on the higher end 
of their price range, but they dont' do funky interpolation to be able to say 
they have higher MP's than they really do.

Also, they are small, and *very* good with their batteries.  Better than most 
any other.  I've had a couple cameras, and never been as pleased with any as 
much as my sony.  Best quality for their price range.

(now, going to higher end prosumer models, there are others that come in and 
really duke it out with sony)
