"For discussion of technical Unix topics"
I subscribed to this list in order to procure more knowledge about the various *NIX systems out there. I recognize that this group of users has a great deal of knowledge, some of which I hope to glean. However, this discussion that has been occurring on the list about the gospel doctrines, etc., is so off topic that it appears to have driven out all other topics. So far today, I have received a total of 10 messages relating to this gospel discussion, one to web hosting, and NOT ONE related to any form of POSIX compliant operating system.
I am not opposed to this sort of gospel discussion. I simply feel that this is not the place for it to occur. I feel certain that there are others that feel as disappointed as I do.
Perhaps another list or forum might be created for the purpose of this discussion.
