This list is a community, and for better or for worse, people talk about and
respond to posts that interest them, on topic or not. That's life. We can
try to keep it down to reasonable levels, and I think marking all off topic
threads with OT is an attainable goal. More specifically on the recent
favorite off-topic, you have to remember who this list largely consists of.
To this particular group, theologic discussions of this nature or no more
off topic than conversations on relativity might be to any other *nix group.
Heck, one might even consider it less off topic as far is this group goes.
I dare say there is a higher percentage of religiously affiliated (and
strongly so) people here than the percentage of relativistic physicists in
any *nix group.

These are my own opinions, not those of the group. If anyone thinks I'm
astray on any of these points, please let me hear your thoughts.

Please DO:
* Mark off topic posts with OT, this is in the interest of both sides
* Take this list with a grain of salt
* Keep a sense of humor
* Think before you post
* use Vim, it's awesome :)

Please DO NOT:
* Post to a thread you're not interested in. It only makes it longer.
  (This is not to say don't dissagree with a thread, that's another matter
   entirely, if you're interested in dissagreeing...)
* Reply to a thread with a completely new and unrelated topic (hijack)
  Start a new one with a descriptive subject line
  (just had to throw this one in there, though it's not relavent to the
   recent threads)
