Yeah, I remember that. I remember hating it (for many of the reasons listed on the wiki). While I realize the comment was meant in jest (?), there are a few notable differences: PointCast KGSS (Killer Gnome Screen Saver) ------------------------------------------------ Windows GNOME Dial-up Fat pipes Corp. Channels Personal stuff "Push" tech. RSS feeds X Local info (mail, CPU, IM etc...) Closed sourced Open Source 1996 2006 I'll bet that if Ubuntu came out with a screen saver like the one I described and made it the default, 95% of the users would keep it and think it was useful.
