Agreed.  The forums are not only active, but mostly accurate and VERY helpful.  
Some distro-communities are so snobbish that it's a wonder that ANY newbies 
ever adopt that distro.

Is that a recommendation to replace SourceMage in my life?  

I liked the way SM handled dependencies prior to 
compilation.  "sorcery" "cast" and "seek" were the SM equivalent to "apt-get" 
and "apt-cache".  I miss the SM some days.
