The changed blocks in the snapshot are just delayed being returned back to be rewritten (in any case it's much more efficient that LVM snapshots and I spend a lot more space on them and they are 'free' from the user's quota perspective). If the disk is close to being full, then it's time to rethink the number of snapshots or the amount of disk you have. Since ZFS and btrfs will be able to expand to new disks easier than traditional file systems (yes I know about LVM, but with ZFS and btrfs it will be even easier).
