"See what you get for not using native controls? Tsk, tsk tsk. You think *you*
would know better. ;)"
Needs must I'm afraid Shawn, but if you can suggest something better then I'll
find holes in it :o) However, what would you use to display tabular data, with
variable width columns, changeable height, changeable font (including colour),
scrollable (vertically), allow editing (and allow the edit box to be wider than
the current cell being edited)?
"That said, are you running the latest VB SP & runtimes?"
That's a yes.
"I believe it is related to the auto-display features"
Agreed, but it's damned annoying and I can't find a way to stop it. I'm
currently trying to beat it by remembering the toprow all the time and if I
find it has changed, reset it, but it's very problematic as the user has many
methods (mouse and keyboard) for moving around the grid.

ps Your wife has all my sympathy. That said, playing dominoes online seems
kind of addicted. You know, you can buy these cute little plastic dominoes,
sit around a table, or in front of the fire, you don't need a monitor in front
of you - trust me Shawn it's true, the world is not inside a 2 foot cube ;o)
