If you use nlite http://www.nliteos.com/ , you can hack the registry of
Windows 7 and actually make it run just as fast and stable as XP. The trick
with windows is to disable as much of the services as possible, especially
the ones which are associated with male ware attacking your machine. My
windows 7 OS implementations run V-Box without any problems and have most
of the unneeded stuff disabled. If you 'take' control of the windows
registry, just like you control Linux or Unix OSs, they run much better and
without many of the issues people normally associate with windows problems.
You can find many 'tiny' versions of win XP and Windows 7 on the Internet
(even Vista if you like).
