Dear Sergey,

I have upgraded to 5.2, and I can confirm that the problem remains, in both Win7 and Win10 VMs. In Win7, the desktop maximises correctly to fill the monitor, and the mouse pointer is correctly aligned, but the resolution is low (grainy appearance). In Win10, the desktop does not fill the monitor (wide black margin remains), it does not have the correct resolution and the mouse pointer is not aligned, making it impossible to do anything but start and stop the VM.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hello Jonathan,

Are you to check whether the same issue is reproducible with the newly released VBox 5.2?

Even if not, it will be easier to analyze it on the basis of that release.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Sergey,

this doesn't work either - whatever settings are used in the File - Preferences - Display menu, there is no change. In the meantime I have also tried installing the new release (5.1.30) with appropriate guest additions and extension pack. No change there either.

Thanks,
J

    Hello guys,

What about global VirtualBox display preference called “Maximum
Guest Screen Size” – is it affect this bug in any way?
