Thanks for your fast reply. It seems that my processor does not support hardware virtualization. no vmx or svm feature in /proc/cpu. virtualbox show this feature beeing checked I have no chance to disable this feature since the field is greyed out. Consequently virtualbox does not offer me 64 guests in the selection of OSs and I encounter the above described problem.
