What? Why would we want to form another umbrella, and with what focus?
Velocity is not only for the web...

Definitely NOT a web-only focus; nothing could be further from my mind!

I propose that the focus of the Velocity TLP would be projects that
are built upon and/or for regular use with Velocity. In other words,
projects (and more importantly, their communities!) that are clearly
invested in the core Velocity library.

I'd say we want another umbrella because a Velocity-focused one would
be better for the whole of the Velocity community than remaining under
the unbelievably unfocused umbrella of Jakarta whose few recent
attempts at focusing better (finally!) are threatening to make things
like VelocityTools unwelcome in its shade. :)

I'll help. But what's holding up doing 1.5 now?
