Well for me I'm so near sighted that I can barely see past the end of my
nose. My normal glasses have a veritable bifocal in them. The trouble with
them was they gave me neck pain because I had to tip my head back to see the
screen clearly. So my eye doc made me a pair that focus between 18 and 26
inches. I can work on the PC without neck strain and they also work very well
tying flies as my vice is centered in the focus zone. Can't drive, or walk
down the steps with them, but on the PC reading the paper or tying flies they
work great.
They don't make things bigger just very clear. From our conservation he makes
a lot of them for office workers that are looking at screens all day.

Gary: Where can I get a pair of those glasses that will allow me to focus
on my computer screen??? I always have to use two pair of glasses, one 3.25X
glasses to read a book etc, but a 2.0X to see my screen clear without having to
use huge fonts. Thanks, Chuck

They have a very shallow depth of field. Small movements of your head
will put them out of focus. tried them, never could get use to the fade in
and out of focus. Had a pair of glasses made that focus on my PC screen and
work well when I tye.

I am thinking of buying a head magnifier. I looked at one at the craft
store and it was $40 for one with one lens. I looked at Ebay and they start
around $5. Does anyone use these and do you have any idea which one to buy?
Are the cheapies just as good for tying purposes as the more expensive ones?
