What kind of hopper were you using, deer hair or foam? Do you have a pattern for it?
Deb
It was a foam hopper, colors are from the bottom: tan, yellow, orange, and red indicator. Brown legs. It had red tips on the rear legs, but a few gills took care of that.
I have this information so clear cause I tied a few after I got them in. I went to Wally world and got the foam, the leg material I had. I saved the original and was fishing a copy, the only one I had at the time!!
I was going to quit after the next fish anyway, I had to go get Donnah from work at 3:00. But, I will return!! (with more hoppers)
If anyone recognizes this hopper, could you post the actual recipe to the list? It is a great pattern.
Also, the nymph I was using had purplish dubbing for the head/thorax, two rubber legs, and a body that looked kinda like peacock, but had a reddish tint. If you recognize this nymph, I WANT THE PATTERN!!! <VBG>.
Thank you everyone for making this trip possible!! Without you all, I wouldn't have caught a thing.
Regards,
