I use Hollow punches. I bought a set on ebay for around 7 bucks, the larger ones I had to turn down so that the shank would fit in my drill press. I use flip flops (sandals) and the foam alphabet pieces you buy for kids. I got this technique off of FAOL from Jim Hatch, he uses this equipment to make dremel bugs.
