You said it well, Henk. Global warming – at least the kind being promoted these days – and the false hysteria about DDT (as documented in the articles Jimi cited) are all just junk science. My local paper here in Modesto has jumped on the “chicken little” bandwagon too. They’re running a series of articles this week that discuss the water situation here in the California central valley. A recurrent theme is the horrible future with no water and/or massive flooding induced by future global warming. This, of course, will totally destroy the local fishing too – at least according to them. Funny how the solution is ALWAYS more big government intervention/intrusion. NOTE: This comes from the same group of people that can’t accurately forecast the weather for the day after tomorrow. Give me a break.
However, one good point from the above: I guess I better start making more fishing trips to my local rivers and reservoirs before they either all dry up or burst at the seams from massive flooding. ☺ Jim Collins -------------- Fishing is not a matter of life or death. Jimi, banning DDT was just one more (the first maybe?) example of what political pressure and hidden agendas can accomplish in taking the wrong decision for the wrong problem for the wrong reasons. It is the same with global warming. See e.g. www.junkscience.com... Henk ==========================Heisenberg was right!======================== | Dr. Henk J.M.
