The problem I noticed with fullscreen is something else.
If I connect a NTSC colorbar to the S-video input and upscale to
fullscreen (xawtv upscales to 768x576 default), I see al kind of strange
dots on the screen. Further investigations showed that this was caused
by the scaler, the scaler doesn't like to scale NTSC to a vertical
resolution bigger then 480 and as the default of xawtv is 576 this
resulted in these problems.
