Oh wait... I've made 87 cents from Amazon Associates, yay. Well, if you direct your audience from your vlog to go to LeanBackVids.com then I don't think you should be at fault for people watching in iTunes. Besides, I wonder if there's some way of disclaiming the music you use by saying it was taken from a shared music source... with all the legal jargon rolling around, there must be a way to get out of that kind of lawsuit.
I would worry more if you do have a sponsorship. It would be a responsible move to make sure that you are using music that you are authorized to use. I have no doubt that as the web grows more communial, it will not be as difficult to use a piece of music in vlogs. My best advice is to play it safe for now by either adding a disclaimer or linking to the product... the other option is to make friends with record executives... BTW, the only reason Kitkast took on a 1930s Hollywood theme is because I was trying to find music that was open source! Alot of these old movies and songs are open source so I got a lot of stuff off archive.org to use for my intro/outro!
