Hello, Deborah,

Bullfrog Films offers "China Blue" DVD, that links the power of the US
consumer market to the daily lives of a Chinese factory owner and young
factory workers.
It provides a rare glimpse at China's rapid transformation into a free
market society. See link and trailer below.

"China Blue offers an illuminating window onto the normally hidden
worlds of global production. It provides unparalleled access to the
everyday lives of garment workers in China, giving them voice, and
giving a face to the reality underlying China's emergence as the factory
floor to the world. For those interested in globalization, economic
development, or current controversies around sweatshops, China Blue is
an excellent introduction to the experiences of workers from developing
countries - even those supposedly 'winning' through globalization." Dara

Subject: [Videolib] Doing Business in China?

hi everyone

Do you have any recommendations for something current in video for
students of international business regarding the difficulties that
western businesses may encounter when doing business in China: i.e.
different business practice "norms", cultural and/or communication
differences?

Thanks!

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
