Thanks, Michael, A previous suggestion about using an alias got me interested, but I wasn't able to get help with it either from the Oualline book or vim help. I take it cloning the icon and changing the command line assumes that vim [MacVim] is being started from terminal? And the session still has to be saved. I think what I want to do is restrict what gets saved with 'mkesession'. You're earlier suggestion regarding that was helpful, and I'll be exploring it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric Weir Decatur, GA eew...@bellsouth.net "We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children." - Chief Seattle. -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
