My story. I had a Quadra 650 given to me. 230MB hard drive was bad. Purchased a 730GB on eBay for $2. Installed drive. Used PC to download System 7 OS disk images and burn them to an HPFS formatted CD. Used RAWRITE or WinImage to put the 7.5 Network Access Disk boot image onto a 3.5" floppy. Booted floppy on Mac and mounted the CD (in the external SCSI CD drive). Ran the OS install from CD. Did the 7.5.3 and 7.5.5 updates and all of the Open Transport updates. I was online in no time. (You might want to also download a small FTP server program for the Mac so you can transfer files from your PC across your network.) At least that's what I remember. It was a couple of years ago. I was new to all of it and my head was spinning from all of the information I had to wade through. You might find this useful:

Burn it all to the CD. You can then use that CD as a good starting point if you have to start over at square one again, for some reason. Lonnie.
