I thought even the old 68k Macs needed PRAM batteries, too - so why 
wouldn't the post be appropriate here?

Dwight if you do happen to find anything please send it back our way, as 
I for one would be interested in a cheap DIY alternative to tracking 
down a new PRAM battery for my LC.
