No.  Ground one screwdriver through a wire to the metal chassis and then 
  work it's tip into the high voltage contact.

Most of the time there is no need to discharge the CRT, just don't 
disconnect the high voltage.

Always treat the CRT as if it's fully charged, ALWAYS.
