It sounds like that "large gap" I mentioned was a bit of an understatement. ;) That's not to say that these things cannot be set up in a (fairly) bomb-proof manner. Say, through the use of an escrow service. This would allow folks to pony up their dough in the knowledge that without the supplier coming through, there's no money changing hands. Likewise, the supplier knows that people will have to come up with the money, first, before s/he has to pass the point of no return. Anyway, point taken: more often than not, group deals involving obscure/obsolete components will end in tears unless there's some care taken to prevent either side from faking out. Frankly, I'm halfway tempted to acquire a IIFX myself, what with all this talk,. :) However, it's only right that I get all the compact Macs I have taken care of, first, before I start messing with machines that take up even *more* room (not to mention time).
