There was a guy over on the Classic Computers list I think <http://
www.classiccmp.org/mailman/listinfo/cctech> who was desperately trying
to get information on how that upgrade installs. I think it was
called the TokaMac. It not only has some extra wires run (if it's
the one he was dealing with) but one of the GAL chips has been
replaced with a custom job.
Whatever you do, please document the wires that are still in place,
and please don't dispose of the machine without checking with the old
Mac community. Please? I suspect that you cannot put it back to
stock without replacing the modified GAL, although it's possible that
the modified version will work in a stock configuration.
Anyway, if you want to make a friend for life, go offer information on
your machine's arrangement over on Classic Computers. I wish I could
remember the fellow's handle. He even managed to contact the original
designer of the upgrade (assuming yours is the TokaMac and assuming
I'm remembering the name correctly) but the designer didn't have the
old information available any more apparently, or something. If you
have the custom GAL, the greatest thing would be to read out its
contents so that it can be reproduced.
