This solution worked perfectly. Instead of writing blank images, I'm
filling up DSK images in vMac, and now using WinImage to write those
images to floppies on the PC. The SE/30 recognizes these perfectly. It
could very well be that the floppies aren't great (it's a box of 10
TDK disks I found on sale for $3.99 - including shipping). MacDrive
must be performing a verification cycle similar to that of 6.0.8.

Just to avoid confusion, these are HD disks I'm talking about. The SE/
30 shipped with a HD floppy drive (which appears to be working just
fine).

As I'm typing this, I have a copy of Shadowgate running on the SE/30
(my favourite Mac adventure game from the 80s). I had been trying to
figure out a way to copy it to the SE/30, without the need to buy
another Mac. Thanks again for the solution.

BTW, The zip disk solution is not a great one. The infamous click-of-
death is caused when you share zips between PCs and Macs (I had too
many experiences with this in the 90s). I would avoid this, unless you
have plenty of zips lying around.
