about Windows 7, MS never offered support for reading anything other than the FAT, NTFS, UDF filesystems and Joliet/ISO9660 formats on their Windows operating systems. combined with BootCamp, yes i could imagine Apple made up a filesystem driver to read the HFS+ volumes on a Mac/BootCamp drive, becuase otherwise it would be a pain in the ass to get yer Mac files under native Windows (having to reboot into Mac OS X in the middle of a Windows operation, etc)
